There are literally hundreds of different martial arts styles that are practiced around the world and one of the least known but most significant is the Haitian martial arts style. The term Haitian self-defense skills really include one or two different martial-arts styles : Judo, Brazilian Jujitsu, and taekwando, to name a couple.
Judo
Judo is one of the more popular and recognized Haitian martial arts styles, and it is a modern martial art style that originated in Japan in the late nineteenth century. It?s a style in which the most notable feature is the highly competitive component that?s concerned, and the moves and maneuvers that are used inside this fighting style are actually superb.

This is what makes it the most different from any other Haitian martial arts style and it is actually considered as being the most maligned of all martial arts, as in it you are asked to believe that it was created for the destruction of one man by another.
Taekwando works by bringing a liquid to motion and a grace to movement, and also brings self esteem, self-awareness and self-knowledge to the consultant. Typical taekwando training includes a system of blocks, punches, open-handed strikes, take downs, sweeps and throws.
To understand about any single selfdefense skills form, you actually need to have at least a basic understanding on a couple of others also, because all martial art forms share identical common ideal and basis.
